This installation illustrates how a vacuum tolerant process vessel
can be direct loaded in a vacuum system, eliminating the need for
a separate material receiver. A vacuum line is attached to the blender
through the conical filter element against the wall at left. Vacuum
is furnished by a pump mounted on the other side of the wall, shown
left. Material is drawn directly into the blender from the drum
via the wand and material hose.
After blending, a special feedbin is attached to the blender discharge
with a dust-tight connection and material flows by gravity into
the feedbin. It is drawn from the feedbin through the wall to a
tube hopper material receiver where it is discharged into a comminutor.
