Industrial Vacuum Cleaners Handle Tough Dust Inside and Out Whether cleaning bulk transport loading areas for EPA compliance or breakaway systems for indoor air quality, VAC-U-MAX has the right stuff. Buzzi Unicem USA is sensitive to environmental issues and is proactive in adhering to OSHA and MSHA regulations as well as local EPA guidelines. As such, the Stockertown, PA plant utilizes two VAC-U-MAX central vacuum cleaning (CVC) systems to remove product build-up around the hatches of bulk tankers and railcars that are loaded from above, ensuring no dust is spread when the trucks are leaving the facility or traveling through neighborhoods. These CVC systems include strategically placed piping throughout the facility allowing simultaneous cleaning of multiple areas. Centralized vacuums are also used in clinker plants early in the cement manufacturing process capturing a half ton of dust per day during the grinding process. In large grinding operations with multiple floors, the vacuum is centrally located on the ground level with piping routed to each floor for easy clean up. Where the power of a CVC system is needed at a fraction of the cost, Breakaway Vacuum Systems are ideal for cleaning large amounts of Trona and other difficult powders. These systems utilize VAC-U-MAX’s portable 1020 continuous duty Industrial Vacuum Cleaners and tubing networks throughout the facility, allowing the unit to be rolled to these networks. Utilizing a positive displacement pump, or rotary lobe, this unit is different from other portable industrial vacuums on the market. The included PTFE high efficiency filter media rated 99.9 percent efficient at 1 micron, contributes to a better respiratory environment for workers.
