In this installation, materials are received in 50-pound bags and
semi-bulk bags and are security screened for foreign objects while
being conveyed to a weigh hopper, where they are automatically hatched
in predetermined weights and discharged into process drums. Photo
at right shows the bag dump station and bulk bag unloader. Hose
connected to discharge of the bulk bag unloader can quickly be shifted
to the discharge outlet of the bag dump station. Material is drawn
by vacuum through the air-swept vibrating sieve in center and through
the wall to the weigh hopper in an adjacent room, shown at lower
right. Control panel for the weigh system is mounted in the wall
at left of the hopper.
